Dr. Amanda Kinney DNP, PMHNP-BC is a local to Columbus, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate education at The Ohio State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University. Dr. Kinney successfully completed the Graduate Entry Pre-Specialty in Nursing (GEPN) program and Master of Nursing at Yale University School of Nursing. She completed her doctoral work at Yale University School of Nursing where her work focused on delirium and medical mimics of psychiatric disorders.

She serves as a preceptor to nurse practitioner students from a variety of universities, and has served as a faculty lecturer at Yale University School of Nursing to psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students. Dr. Kinney works clinically with adults and geriatric patients struggling with psychiatric concerns. However, Dr. Kinney is board certified across the lifespan.

When not working academically or clinically, Dr. Kinney enjoys spending time with her family. Typically, Dr. Kinney can be found at Walt Disney World multiple times throughout the year or attending local festivals or craft shows.
